Force Command Innovation Day 2018

Headquarters Forces Command – Expression of Interest

Forces Command Innovation Day – Improving Education, Training and Doctrine

Forces Command trains approximately 34,000 Army personnel annually across a variety of specialities in many geographically dispersed locations. The Command is seeking innovative ideas to help Army improve the quality or efficiency of Army's Education, Training and Doctrine in order to better prepare Australia's Land Forces for combat. Innovation pitches could include materiel inventions, new processes or techniques, or initiatives that influence behaviours and attitudes.

Forces Command will assess your Expression of Interest and select participants to exhibit, explain and demonstrate their proposed innovation at the Forces Command Innovation Day 2018 (FCID18). The FCID will be held over 14-15 May at Victoria Barracks, Sydney.

Expressions of Interest can be in any format, however a 1-2 page PowerPoint presentation is preferred. Large files should be provided via webpage link rather than embedded.

All Expressions of Interest are to be sent to Innovation.HQFORCOMD@defence.gov.au prior to the closing date of 01 May 2018.

Following FCID18, and taking into account information gathered from participants, Defence may seek to progress ideas from selected participants under a subsequent procurement activity. There is potential for your submission to develop into user trials and evaluations in Australian Army units.

Note that FCID18 is not a Defence Innovation Hub procurement activity.

Further information about FCID18 can be diverted to Innovation.HQFORCOMD@defence.gov.au
